The Studio is not only a day spa featuring the most current techniques in hair care, but also a learning environment for new stylists.

Judith Crawford

Owner/Level 4AA Master Stylist

Judith Crawford Passion is education in running a successful salon with the client satisfaction and creating a team of successful, hard working employees who share common values, goals and customer service. Having trained across the U.S., Canada, and U.K. she has always been dedicated in bringing in the latest in hair, make-up, and products to the Harrisonburg area. She loves corrective color and haircuts that allow your hair to work for you so you do not have to work for it.

Amy Davis

Salon Coordinator

Amy Davis A rockin' Salon Coordinator, Amy, will always be available to keep things running smooth at The Studio! Amy has 7 years of experience in the salon industry. Her goal is to provide excellent customer service for both clients and stylists. She is available for assistance in everything from booking daily appointments and planning large occasion events at the salon, to accepting any compliments or concerns you might have with The Studio.

Laurel Ansell

Massage Therapist/Esthetics Practitioner

Laurel Ansell As a 15 year resident in the Shenandoah Valley, Laurel takes strong pride in providing natural health techniques through honest treatments. After graduating from The Virginia School of Massage, she has tested her skills in a medical homeopathic and spa environment. Her belief in the benefits of touch have given her inspiration to continue her education as she is currently pursuing a licensure in Master Ecthetics through Blackthorn Academy.

Ann Brown

Level 4AA Master Stylist

Anna MeltonWhether you are looking for a total change or just want to keep your ends healthy, Ann will deliver great results. Her 12 years of experience provides her with creative ideas to customize a hairstyle designed just for your face, shape and lifestyle. Ann has an artistic approach to her work and a strong passion for education. She has attended numerous advanced education classes from the academics of Vidal Sassoon, Redken and Aveda. Ann specializes in progressive haircutting and haircoloring including dimensional foiling, gray coverage and block coloring. Brandi Rushing

Level 4A Master Stylist

Brandi Rushing Brandi Rushing is a Master Stylist who has been working her magic at The Studio since 2002. By making it a point to always attend the most current Aveda and Redken classes and shows, she has come to specialize in the latest highlight and haircolor techniques. Brandi prides herself in designing shapes to appeal to each individual's facial shape and look. Each time Brandi styles a bride or an updo for a special occasion she is able to pour out all of her talent and creativity into providing a unique and memorable masterpiece.

Elizabeth Davis

Level 3 Stylist

Elizabeth Davis Elizabeth has been a stylist at The Studio since 2003. She loves staying current and up to date on the latest styles and techniques by attending classes in salon and out. Elizabeth specializes in blended foiling techniques and variations of the modern swing bob. When it comes to guests, Elizabeth is a great listener and communicator who loves to make her guests feel and look beautiful.

Anna Melton

Level 3 Stylist

Anna MeltonAnna Melton joined The Studio team in 2006. Anna recieved her professional training at the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in Philadelphia, PA. Anna’s artistic vision and impeccable attention to detail helps her create styles individualized to her clients needs. Cutting hair is a creative outlet for Anna. Helping people feel and look their best truly inspires her. Anna loves a challenge and specializes in short razor cuts, long soft layers as well as beautiful and unique color.

Patrick "Paddy" Fitzgerald

Level 2 Stylist

Patrick "Paddy" Fitzgerald Patrick has 25 years of experience in the hair care industry. His training includes advanced classes in coloring and cutting with Vidal Sassoon, Goldwell, Aveda, Paul Mitchell and Redken. He is proud to be a member of the Studio staff because of the emphasis on continuing education. Paddy likes it all, cutting, coloring, perming, and formal hair. Call for a free consultation today!

Brandy "B" McCarthy

Level 2 Stylist

B McCarthy Brandy "B" McCarthy has been working at The Studio since 2007. She has had training from the Staunton School of Cosmetology. She has worked her way up to a level 2 stylist. “B” loves working with great clients to create a style that will look great and fit in with their lifestyle, from sun-kissed highlights to creating depth and dimension on different levels. Level 2 Stylist

Khanda’s expertise in hair care, meticulous technical skills, and unparalleled client service makes her the most integral hair stylist for all your hair care needs.

Jay Brown

Level 2 Stylist

Jay Brown Jay has been at The Studio for 4 years. His passions include creating designs that compliment head shape, and hair color that enhances skin tone and natural features. Jay started his career as an apprentice at The Studio, and has advanced training with AVEDA, Redken, Dermalogica, and bareMinerals.

Heather Cahoon

Level 1 Stylist

Heather Cahoon Heather creates exceptional, easy to maintain haircuts. Specializing in beautiful color and styling through the most current techniques, she is able to achieve looks that accentuate a clients individuality. Taking the time to understand what her clients want, whether conservative, modern, traditional or anywhere in between. Eddie

Level 1 Stylist

Eddie Eddie's experience in the beauty industry originated in VA Beach where he was the assistant of the owner/CEO of Chez Madeleine, a european hair salon. He then moved to the Georgetown area of Washington, D.C. where he was a salon coordinator for Roche Salon. After 8 years in the business, Eddie's passion and love for hair and make up brought him back to the Shenandoah Valley. He received his cosmetology license from Massanutten Technical Center in 2006. With a total of ten years of experience in the beauty industry, Eddie loves to bring out the natural glamour in every individual that sits in his chair. His strong points include doing long hair, layers, face framing, and of course bangs. He specializes in formulating colors that will compliment his guest style, cut, and skin tone. Jimmy Lansberry

Level 1 Stylist

Jimmy Lansberry Jimmy feels truly lucky to be able to go to work everyday and do something he loves and has a passion for. To give you the best look, he believes that a great haircut should not be judged by the amount of hair that falls on the floor but the hair that's left on your head. He takes into consideration many factors such as the shape of your face, texture, and thickness of your hair and how well you’ll be able to duplicate the style the following day. These aspects are very important when giving a great haircut. “I love hair and feel incredibly blessed that I found a career that resonates with me so perfectly. Valeria Zaldivar

Associate

Valeria Zaldivar Valeria graduated from the Massanutten Technical Center two year program and received her state board cosmetology license. She is currently working as an associate for Judi, but plans to become a level one stylist as soon as possible. She is a hard worker and likes to do her best at everything she does, especially on her clients.

Associate

Leslie Hey my name is Leslie. I graduated from Massenutten Technical Center, and am now working as an Associate to Master Stylist Judi Crawford. I see myself growing more and more everyday that I am here at The Studio. Come into The Studio, for New Talent Night, on Friday nights from 5-8 pm, and allow me to take care of your hair needs.

April Miller

Associate

April Miller April Miller is currently participating in the Associate’s Program under Master Stylist Brandi Rushing. She has completed her requirement for the VA State Board and is licensed. She will be learning a variety of skills, such as the most recent cutting, coloring, and highlighting designs. She takes a special interest in coloring techniques as well as taking care of clients.

Ashley Boulanger

Receptionist/Associate

Ashley Boulanger We are so excited to introduce you to Ashley, one of our AWESOME receptionists! Whenever you call to schedule your Studio experience you will most likely be spending some time with her. One of our goals at The Studio is to help our staff to excel in their dreams, and in doing that, we are excited that one of Ashley’s goals is to begin a career in Cosmetology! She is always happy to assist you in whatever needs you may have and will do whatever it takes to be sure that you have the ultimate Studio experience!
